Isaiah Okorie

Lawyer & Migration Agent & 


Isaiah is a Lawyer and Registered Migration Agent with an avid interest in migration and refugee law and policy. Isaiah has over 15 years’ experience practising law in overseas commonwealth countries with a common law tradition. He also specialises in maritime law and policy with a broad interest in surface transport and aviation policy. He is enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria (2007); Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand (2015) and enrolled as a Solicitor in Australia (2015).

Isaiah graduated from the University of Ibadan Nigeria in 2006 with a Bachelor of Law degree (First Class Honours). He holds dual (Master of Law) LL.M degrees from New York University (Global Business Law, 2012) and the National University of Singapore (Maritime Law, 2012).  He has a Graduate Certificate in Research from the University of Tasmania (2016) and a Graduate Certificate of Public Administration from the Institute of Governance and Public Policy, University of Canberra (2021) in view.
 
He is a part-time PhD Researcher and sessional academic at the Faculty of Law, Australian National University, and draws on his diverse experience, in providing bespoke migration advisory across a range of visa classes to clients. Outside of law, research and public policy, Isaiah is a keen entrepreneur in search of a meteoric start-up. He loves music, soccer, walking, travelling and hiking. 

Priscilla Okorie

Immigration Consultant & Practice Manager

Priscilla is our Immigration Consultant/Practice Manager. She has international corporate, legal and administrative experience working in three Continents and manages our International Students education consultancy, helping students find suitable course choices and career paths in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Norway and other destinations. She coordinates our business relations with tertiary institutions and education agents and utilises her international exposure and connections garnered as a Lawyer of over 12 years PQE in Africa and Asia (Singapore) to manage and develop our International student recruitment markets.

Her legal skills are useful in the research of migration related decisions and administrative management of our caseload. She liaises with our clients and help carry out due diligence and compliance checks on visa documentation as well as assist in the provision of tailored GTE related advisory to clients.

 

As Practice Manager she helps manage client files and records ensuring client confidentiality and protection of personal information in line with the requirements of the Privacy Act.  She also manages our host employer ACT Work Placement for secondary school students’ internship program. Her role extends to providing high quality administrative support including Administrative Appeals Tribunal Case Management and documentation, invoicing clients, managing business expenses, file management, strategic marketing and referrals. 
Priscilla is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in good standing, has an LL. B Law Degree.

She is quite driven and recently successfully completed her PLT with the College of Law pending the award of her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (GDLP) and enrolment as a Solicitor in Australia, later in the year.
